Matthias started his corporate finance career in the investment banking division of UBS in 2005 advising telecoms and media companies on M&A projects, debt and equity financings. He joined Akira Partners in 2009.
Matthias’ deal experience covers a wide area of telecoms and technology transactions including Vodafone’s €0.3bn sale of Vodafone Malta to Monaco Telecom, MTN’s disposal of MTN Cyprus to Monaco Telecom, Qualcomm’s sale of 40MHz of L-Band spectrum in the UK, CWC’s US$0.7bn disposal of its international islands assets to Bateleco, CWC’s US$0.4bn disposal of a 55% economic interest in Monaco Telecom to NJJ Capital.
Matthias has a particular interest in the satellite sector advising satellite operators, service providers and technology companies.
Matthias graduated from University College London with a first class degree in Economics. He holds an MPhil in Economics from Cambridge University.
